 "The  reason  why I played  football was because  I got cut from the basketball  team four years in a row ." Gary  Lindsay an intelligent and active man who has taught journalism for 40 years and retired seven years ago, Gary has shared some interesting aspects of his life.

All through out Gary's life he's been involved in sports and activities, In high school he was a starter for the football team. He also had a interest for basketball but unfortunately never played for the high school team, this was due to him moving to the small town of clear lake, so the coaches already had an ideal team picked out before he even had a chance. But that hasn't stopped him from playing basketball recreationally up into his mid 50's.

Another key part of Lindsay's life is music. Gary's passion for music was a big part of his high school experience. He has played almost all of the brass instruments. Gary also sang and still does sing. He is currently singing for a group called the harmony hawks as a bass and is also the president of the group. He is also involved in church singing, and church has always been a part of his life. Gary says that as a kid it was just a regular thing to go to church every sunday. And Gary still goes to church and sings.

Gary Lindsay still tries to get out and do as much as he can, wether its singing, being active, visiting his kids, or just getting outside. Gary is a busy yet humble guy and plans on continuing what he loves as long as possible.
