news deadline 12/21

Cougars vs. j-hawks December 12th the cougars took on  the Jefferson j-hawks at home. The gym was packed, the crag news was there cops were there it was going to be a great game. The game started quickly trading three pointers back and forth, but Jefferson started to pull away early with energy. The Jefferson crowd was going crazy. Jefferson was up in the first quarter by 5. When i asked a student in the crowd, Jackson how he thought the first quarter went he says, “Jefferson just hit more shots and Kennedy was shooting to many threes instead of driving.” the second quarter was the same the cougars hung around but couldn't take the lead down going into half time. The cougars came out with some more energy in the 3rd quarter. It was a back and forth battle between the two, Trey Sheets leading the cougars in scoring. So fast forward to the fourth quarter with a minute left. Cougars down three and they have the ball Tyler drives to the hoop draws a foul and makes the shot, if he m...

The Picture

There's many things that can make a picture good. The picture I selected has multiple attributes for a good picture. The picture has a main focus, when you first look at the picture all you see is a odd red eyed looking duck. The background is blurred out to make it more focused on the duck. The picture has a cool effect with the reflection in the water to add a symmetrical element of the duck. The picture also has a nice color pallet. The duck has a range of colors, red, black, brown, blonde, pink. And the water blue and a brown from the landscape. These elements are what made this picture of a duck a good picture.

"The  reason  why I played  football was because  I got cut from the basketball  team four years in a row ." Gary  Lindsay an intelligent and active man who has taught journalism for 40 years and retired seven years ago, Gary has shared some interesting aspects of his life. All through out Gary's life he's been involved in sports and activities, In high school he was a starter for the football team. He also had a interest for basketball but unfortunately never played for the high school team, this was due to him moving to the small town of clear lake, so the coaches already had an ideal team picked out before he even had a chance. But that hasn't stopped him from playing basketball recreationally up into his mid 50's. Another key part of Lindsay's life is music. Gary's passion for music was a big part of his high school experience. He has played almost all of the brass instruments. Gary also sang and still does sing. He is current...

Kinder Kennedy  Every day for the past week you have heard Kline talk about the kinder Kennedy challenge  on the announcements or in the hall way, but is it doing much?        I my self have not done any of the daily challenges for the kinder Kennedy challenge, and my friends have not done any as well. I mean I guess I've seen one of my friends participate in one of the challenges, he walked over to another one of my friends on pick up trash day and picked him up and said, "hey guys I'm just picking up trash for today." But I wouldn't  say that is very kind.   As I walk the halls of Kennedy I don't really notice many people doing the challenges, such as the pick up trash challenge I still see some wrappers or chip bags on the floor.  The most common one I saw was the high five challeng...

http://www.espn.com/blog/pittsburgh-steelers/post/_/id/28655/leveon-saga-2-0-torn-locker-room-wasted-853k-free-agency-outlook In an artical on ESPN.com by Jeremy Fowler wrote about the hottest topic in football right now. The star running back for the Pittsburgh steelers,  Le'Veon Bell is currently holding out against the steelers organization because of money and injury risks. This is having a big impact on the Steelers missing one of the top 5 running backs in the league.      The main reason for him holding out is that he wants to be injury free. Le'Veon has had some bad injuries in the past 5 years such as a ACL pull, a MCL tear and a conical concussion. Bell is looking for a work load cap so he is less likely to get injured again. I totally understand what Bell is saying because the steelers use him a lot.        It is unclear what else he is looking for or holding out against ESPN analyst suggest it might be money but he is getting pa...

Jeremy Fowler wrote an article for espn on which NFL surprises will continue or not. There have been quite a few surprises from new players, or good players not performing as good as they should be playing.             The new rookie quarterback for the chiefs, Patrick Mahomes has been going crazy, but Jeremy says there is no way he can keep up with his current pace, and I completely agree. i agree because the more he plays the more the opposing teams get film on him and find out his tendency's and what he he likes to do.             Antonio Brown has been the top of wide receivers in the NFL for a couple years now, but he has been having a tough start to the year so far. But ESPN thinks that he’ll pick up the play soon. Even the Steelers coach isn’t concerned about it. He believes he will be fine. I agree as well because he is a future hall of famer and hes just getting sta...
