Jeremy Fowler wrote an article for espn on which NFL surprises will continue or not. There have been quite a few surprises from new players, or good players not performing as good as they should be playing.
The new rookie quarterback for the chiefs, Patrick Mahomes has been going crazy, but Jeremy says there is no way he can keep up with his current pace, and I completely agree. i agree because the more he plays the more the opposing teams get film on him and find out his tendency's and what he he likes to do.
Antonio Brown has been the top of wide receivers in the NFL for a couple years now, but he has been having a tough start to the year so far. But ESPN thinks that he’ll pick up the play soon. Even the Steelers coach isn’t concerned about it. He believes he will be fine. I agree as well because he is a future hall of famer and hes just getting started for this season.
Christian McCaffery has been on fire these first two weeks, in fact he’s on pace for a record-breaking amount of receptions. ESPN thinks that this will keep going on and will break the record. But I personally think that he will slow down and not break the record. i feel this way because he's a running back and at the position you don't really catch the ball a lot and in order to break the record he'll have to catch the ball a lot more.
I found that out of all 32 predictions about whether the surprises on certain players and or teams will continue or stop, I agree on almost all predictions with ESPN, but some I disagree with. I picked the three most interesting player right now to discus whether they will keep up the level of play they are on right now or slow down.

  1. Make sure to go back and put the link to the article in here. Is there an author? If so, they should be cited in here for their work. You give your opinions, but you don't really explain them. Your readers want to know WHY you think what you think.

Obviously, you like football. Clearly, you follow the NFL. What if you wrote a piece about the football team here at KHS? Maybe you can keep following this stuff? I have a book by Frank DeFord (dead now) but he was a master sports writer. Check it out.

  2. I liked how you added your opinions for each point in the article you read, but I feel you could've elaborated on your reasons just a bit more. Overall though, the piece was good and pretty well written.

  3. I liked how you added your opinion, but you could have used more detail to better convey and support your story.

  4. I think that your love of football could make this piece even better. And also I think going in depth and explaining who these people are, and why they are important is a key thing as well. Good job! Keep working!
